Scottish Property Network was established as a joint venture between Scottish Enterprise and the University of Paisley. Our mission is to provide good quality, up-to date information on supply and market retail property activity in Scottish industrial and commercial property markets. With that objective, we have developed and maintain the most comprehensive retail property database of available business premises throughout Scotland. Our team of 12 dedicated researchers continuously monitor market activity through regular contact with over 700 property owners and agents dealing in the sale and letting of industrial, office and retail property. We offer an on-line information service to a wide range of users including local enterprise companies, local authorities and other economic development retail property agencies, private sector property consultants, commercial property agents and property lenders.
A public platform for the publication of press releases, news items and market commentary supplied by subscribers and other key players, posted on the website in our Scottish Property News section available to retail property all visitors on our public access pages. Market Reports section holds copies of recent market reviews and indices published by several of the retail property leading property consultants. We are always happy to receive relevant material for free publication on the website. In association with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Scotland, SPN produces a quarterly Scottish Property Bulletin, providing an overview of market activity in retail property industrial and commercial markets. The most recent Bulletin is published on both the SPN and the RICS in Scotland websites and can be accessed by 'guest' visitors.
Market Activity Reports are prepared on behalf of Scottish Enterprise, based on retail property analysis of the SPN database, and detailing changes in supply and take-up of industrial and business accommodation in each of the Local Enterprise Company areas of central and north-east Scotland. These reports are made available to Network Members and can be accessed in retail property the Reports section of our subscriber only pages. SPN has considerable expertise in the development, maintenance and management of a large, dynamic, web-enabled databases. We can provide advice and assistance in data collection and processing, database design and website retail property development, particularly in the implementation of a searchable, web-linked property database. With a developed database and flexible search retail property routines in place, we can offer agents and landlords a quick and easy way to implement a search facility on their own property listings from their own retail property website, without the need to maintain an in-house database.
